Enugu and Ebonyi States have recorded new Covid-19 cases. This was revealed by the latest update on the disease by the Nigeria Center for Disease control (NCDC) dated 12th May, 2020.
According to this update, Enugu State and Ebonyi State recorded one new case of Covid-19 each, bringing the total confirmed cases in Enugu State to 11. Whereas 2 patients had since recovered and had been discharged, 9 patients are still active and no death due to Covid-19 has been recorded in Enugu State. Ebonyi State has a total of 8 active Covid-19 cases with no recovery or death yet.
Details about the new cases are yet to be released and confirmed by any of the states’ government as at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded a total of 146 new cases of Covid-19. The States involved in the new cases include:

The above figures bring the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Nigeria to 4,787, with 959 recoveries and 158 deaths. This means that Nigeria has 3,670 active Covid-19 cases.
