Enugu State Records 10th Covid-19 Case as the Tally Rises to 3,912 Cases in Nigeria
Enugu State, according to the latest Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) report, confirmed another case of Covid-19 on Friday May 8, 2020. The new case, was also confirmed by the Enugu State Minister for Health, Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10, with 2 recoveries, 8 active cases and no death. Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu further reminded the residents of Enugu States to always observe all necessary recommendations by the state Ministry of Health as well as recommendations from the NCDC in other to stay safe from contracting the deadly virus.
Meanwhile Nigeria recorded a total of 386 new Covid-19 cases on Friday May 8, 2020. These new cases came from 20 different States in Nigeria including the FCT, Abuja as follows:
Lagos State – 176
Kano State – 65
Katsina State – 31
FCT – 20
Boronu State – 17
Bauchi State – 15
Nasarawa State – 14
Ogun State – 13
Plateau State – 10
Oyo State – 4
Sokoto State – 4
Rivers State – 4
Kaduna State – 3
Edo State – 2
Ebonyi Sate – 2
Ondo Stats – 2
Enugu State – 1
Imo State – 1
Gombe State – 1
Osun State – 1
The above figures bring the Nigeria Covid-19 cases tally to 3,912 with 679 recoveries and 117 deaths. Thus, according to the latest Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) report, the country has 3,116 active Covid-19 cases.
